Introduction to Qt Part I
This is Part I of a three part Introduction to Qt Series. In this webcast you will learn what the Qt development framework consists of and what it offers developers. We will cover the major features of Qt including widgets and the Qt object model and cover the basics of creating a desktop application including dialogs and layouts and Qt's signals and slots facility. We'll also look at Qt's non-graphical support for such things as string manipulation, input/output, resources and containers. We'll show how localization is easy to implement using Qt and look at the Qt Designer layout tool and the Qt Creator IDE. We'll briefly mention the new features of Qt version 5 and the roadmap for the future and wrap things up with some sources where you can learn more about Qt.
