This presentation highlights the new features of Qt 4.4, including: webkit integration, the phonon multimedia framework, enhanced XML support, and more.
The instructor is Jeff Tranter, the manager of the ICS consulting staff. Jeff has over 25 years of experience developing software on platforms from small embedded systems to servers. He was part of the team that developed Corel Linux and was one of the founding members of Xandros, where he led the team that developed the KDE-based Xandros desktop, and more recently the desktop for the popular ASUS Eee PC.

The GraphicsView Framework (47:52)
Qt's GraphicsView provides a higher level of graphical abstraction and reuse than QPainter alone. This talk covers how it can efficiently manage a large number of standard and custom graphics items, with support for zooming, transformations, and animations. The instructor is David Johnson, a member of the ICS consulting staff. David has been writing software with the Qt framework since 1998. He is active in the open source community and has contributed to the award-winning KDE desktop.
