ICS Hires Dan McGillivray as VP of Sales

Senior technology executive brings extensive expertise in the embedded software space, including automotive and medical, to support ICS’ continuing growth

WALTHAM, MA — August 14, 2018 — Integrated Computer Solutions (ICS), creators of sophisticated embedded and touch-enabled devices, has appointed Dan McGillivray as vice president of sales. A global sales, operations and business development executive, McGillivray will be based out of ICS’ headquarters in Waltham, Mass.

McGillivray has served in a number of leadership roles, most recently as global sales director at DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface software and 3D virtual training solutions. Prior to DiSTI, he spent nine years at Mentor Graphics as global sales director of the embedded software division, and previously held executive positions at Fanfare Software and Wind River.

“ICS has experienced significant momentum over the last couple of years, which now warrants additional leadership,” said Peter Winston, founder and CEO of ICS. “Dan’s embedded market expertise and exceptional sales acumen are perfectly suited for ICS in our pursuit to continuously deliver the future in embedded, touch screen and voice-driven applications.”

McGillivray’s versatility and deep knowledge in embedded software spans a variety of industries, including industrial, semiconductor, consumer and mobile, as well as medical and automotive -- two areas in which ICS has experienced noteworthy success. The company is collaborating with The Qt Company (Nasdaq: QTCOM) to integrate Amazon Alexa into Qt for vehicles, and recently became a member of The Linux Foundation’s Automotive Grade Linux (AGL), a collaborative open source project consisting of automakers and technology companies that aim to accelerate the development and adoption of a fully open software stack for the connected car.

ICS is headquartered in Waltham, Mass., with offices in Sunnyvale, Calif. and Ottawa, Canada.
