Qt This Week
Qt 5.4.1 is still on track for a release by the end of next week.
Timur Pocheptsov has been nominated for Approver status.
Qt 5.4.1 is still on track for a release by the end of this month.
Qt 5.5.0 has a feature freeze coming up on Feb 9.

A Qt 5.4.1 branch is now available for changes targeted toward the release of 5.4.1. Current changes in 5.4 will be merged into the 5.4.1 branch on Friday, January 16.
Keränen Pasi has proposed incorporating the three.js scenegraph (third party) library into Qt 5.5. It uses the QtCanvas3D API for rendering. https://github.com/tronlec/three.js

Qt Releases & Snapshots
Due to some serious issues with Qt 5.4.0, a 5.4.1 release will be coming soon:
“Unfortunately there have been some severe issues in (the) Qt 5.4.0 release so we need to start preparing a Qt 5.4.1 release a bit earlier than planned. We are hoping we could put 5.4.1 out already during January and so we need to branch '5.4.1' from '5.4' latest 16.1.2015." …

There has been some discussion on declaring an 'LTS' (Long Term Support) version of Qt, possibly version 5.4 or 5.5:

QML Support – Call for Removal
Simon Hausmann, senior software engineer at The Qt Company, has proposed removing the QML bundle support from Qt:
