Welcome to ICS' October Newsletter
The most important event in the Qt ecosystem — the Qt World Summit — is right around the corner. I’ll be there, at the Westin Seaport in Boston, October 29-30, to share development lessons learned over the course of 500+ successful Qt projects. I hope you’re attending as this conference is a great chance to connect with fellow Qt devotees and learn about how Qt is being used to delivery modern, connected devices worldwide.
In the meantime, ICS has a full slate of technical and UX-design content and training opportunities to keep you occupied. In this month’s issue, read about using QUiLoader and QFormBuilder when developing widget-based apps. For a chuckle, don’t miss the Dr. Strangelove piece exploring how the web developer’s job has changed since Y2K. And, if you’re interested in user interface design, be sure to read the blog outlining how to determine optimal touchscreen-target sizes.
As always, we have a number of training opportunities for you, including State-of-the-Art OpenGL with Qt Nov. 5-9 in Sunnyvale, Calif., and Programming with Qt for Embedded Devices the following week, Nov. 12-16, in Waltham, Mass.
Hope to see you at the Summit in Boston next week!
