Qt Activities and Accomplishments

Qt 5.7 Beta: Binary snapshots are still being made, so a release of the Beta will be delayed (from last Thursday) until binary packages are available and there has been some testing on them.

April Fools:

  • QRect will be deprecated, and removed from future Qt revisions due to 'security concerns'.
  • Due to Microsoft's announcement of bash and basic Linux support in upcoming Windows 10 updates, configure.bat will be eliminated and all builds will now use the same configure.sh to build Qt.

Volker Krause has been nominated for Approver status.
